Fantastic location only 5 minutes from the park entrance. The only way to be closer is to actually stay within Yosemite Village itself which frequently needs to be booked many months in advance. The drive from the park entrance to the village is another 15-20 minutes, but its picturesque and ever changing. The facilities in the lodge were surprisingly comfortable. The rooms reasonably large and well appointed for a family of four. I wasn't expecting to be as nice as it was after looking at the photos on the website so we were all very happy. The small kitchenette's in the family suites were also really welcome. The kids loved playing in the pool(s)/spa after spending the day in the park and the small games room was a welcome addition. The breakfast was terrific and set us up well for the day and a relative bargain. Service was attentive and courteous. All in all, a terrific stay - particularly since our room had views of the Merced River too.

Aesthetically, the decor was a little old-fashioned in style and not to the tastes of some. Wi-fi was extra and only available in the building where reception is located. Oh, and don't forget to bring a bottle opener if you plan on drinking some wine which isn't a kelvin top (screw top). Perhaps its just me, but when I asked the restaurant staff if they could open the wine we bought to have with our pizza (from the shop at the Lodge no less), they said corkage would be $10 as per California law. Needless to say, I managed to find an alternative solution - especially since the wine only cost $5 in the first place!

The accomadations were perfect. Pools, hot tubs, river view, resturant on site and little store with everything you could need as well as gifts. Yosemite was 2 miles away!

especially loved the view, remodled & very clean. We would visit this place again.

price could be a little more accomidating to the economy crisis.

Perfect location for acccess to Yosemite National Park. The dinner salad bar and breakfast buffet were excellent.

I arrived at night. There were no directions to the lodge office. My mattress was not firm.

Fantastic location. The room was noticeably clean. Loved the river behind it.

Come on-- the facility can have wi-fi for the entire facility, not just the front desk. For goodness sakes, it's 2012. Apple is the richest company one earth. That means everyone has apple products and apple products require web connection. i figure in good months, the lodge grosses nearly 4 million dollars. Come Mr. Republican owner, throw a bone with free wi-fi-- and for the entire faciltiy!!!! Also, there's no night life, dig deeper for more channels on the television!!!!!!

Great location, ideal for access to the park.

The wifi wasn't free at all, $9 for your room and it didn't even work with no refunds. No flexibility for check in, 3pm is late seeing as check out is 11am!

The roar of the river and view of it from our balcony! It was the best part for me. Slept the best there over the other 12 places we stayed on our vacation. Liked the kitchenette, too! It was a wonderful place, just wish it did not feel so much like a time-share or large crowd place, but it was fine.

The location, close to Yosemite, was great. The patio overlooking the Merced River was a nice place to enjoy our morning coffee.

This is probably a better place for a family to stay. The complex was huge, with several pools, etc.; we prefer something more personal. The price was more than what we used the facilities for. We would not stay there again, but in the right circumstances and people, it would likely be a good deal.

Relaxing in a slice of Heaven!

The late check-in is not practical with many people traveling from far away. Early check-out makes matter worse, regarding the late check-in. Food for thought!

We loved our room's location (River Side). The temperature and comfort of sleeping with the Sliding Door open and hearing the River, all added to our Yosemite Experience. We appreciated being right outside the Park for easy access, yet the added privacy of being away from the activity of the visitors and Campers during dinner & at night. We also enjoyed the selection and setting for our dinner & breakfast at the on site restaurant. The staff was very friendly and were very efficient in servicing us (water, removing plates, dinner & drinks), without being intrusive. Lastly, we enjoyed the convenience of having the on site store for snacks, wine & ammenities.

Wished we could have gotten a newspaper by check out time for the ride home the next day. Didn't think that there would be no cell phone service. Didn't mind missing it, but just wanted to note it so others are aware & can plan for it accordingly.
